Shockwave 3D Safari Bug Fixed?
For 2+ years, Shockwave 3D developers have lived with the dreaded Safari bug. This is what causes all Shockwave 3D content to appear vertically 20-40 pixels lower than other sprites, even breaking out of Shockwave’s rectangle. It basically made Shockwave 3D “incompatible” with Safari.
But Thursday the Safari bug-base was updated to mention a fix. It will be months before this change makes it from OpenDarwin to Mac OS X. But at least we know it is coming soon.
Thanks to Lewis Francis for spotting this and posting it to one of my mailing lists.
